The first house of the Iranian Stamp Museum will be
established in Tabriz
According to the public relations of
the National Post Company, Mohammad Pourbozorg met with the Director General of
Cultural Heritage of the province and pointed to the historical and cultural
background of Tabriz and also the activity of rich and diverse museums in this
ancient city, at the suggestion of Azari Jahromi, Minister of Communications
and Information Technology, the first house of the Iranian Stamp Museum will be
established in the House of Mujtahids of Tabriz
He stated that the museum will be completed
with the participation of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the
province and also added that the house of the Museum of Iranian Stamps, in the
historical house of the Mujtahids, which dates back to the Qajar period and is
located in the historical context of Tabriz, will be established after
preparing the contents of the museum
The Director General of the East
Azerbaijan Post further noted: In order to set up the House of the Iranian
Stamp Museum, 1700 national and international stamps and more than 1500 postal
papers related to Tabriz and the region of Azerbaijan have been collected for
display in this place.
Ahmad Hamzehzadeh, the General Director of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and
Tourism of East Azerbaijan said that the establishment of the first house of
the Iranian Stamp Museum as a national museum in the globalized works of Tabriz
